چکیده
The objectives of this study were to test the fracture strength in vitro laminate veneers, partial veneers and composite restorations after aging analyze failure mode. Forty extracted, sound human teeth selected divided into four groups: 1) Control group (CG); 2) Conventional Laminate Veneer (CLV); 3) Partial (PLV); 4) Direct Composite Resin (DCR). veneer preparations with incisal overlap made CLV whereas only a 1 mm bevel PLV DCR. indirect luted resin DCR was restored direct restoration. subsequently aged by thermocycling (20.000 cycles, 5–55 degrees C). Subsequently, tested load at 135° on edge. A analysis performed using light microscopy. results analyzed Shapiro-Wilk Kruska-Wallis test. After thermocycling, one sample from presented premature adhesive excluded. Three groups small cracks but taken mean + SD (N) were: Group (n = 10): 385 ± 225; CG 271 100; 266 69; 9): 264 66. Fracture means did not differ statistically each other nor control (p 0.05). In root most occurring fracture. DCR, material cohesive failures mix (adhesive, tooth cohesive) observed. This showed for first time that can exhibit values similar or conventional ceramic veneers. All three restorative procedures clinically acceptable strength. Even though samples these do appear have negative effect

Porcelain laminate veneers have been a common treatment strategy in dental clinics. It is a conservative method for treatment of esthetic and functional problems in anterior region of oral cavity. Wide range of dental ceramics is now available on market for fabrication of laminate veneers. Clinician should have enough knowledge regarding the composition and properties of these materials in orde...

متن کاملEffect of Er:YAG laser on debonding strength of laminate veneers
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to evaluate the debonding strength of laminate veneers after using erbium-doped: yttrium aluminium garnet (Er:YAG) laser. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 60 bovine mandibular incisor teeth were divided into two groups (n = 30). Cylindrical specimens (0.7 mm × 5 mm) were fabricated from Empress II ceramic. Then, they were cemented to incisors using dual...
